Gohyred respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what personal data we collect through gohyred.com and related apps, why we collect it, how we use and protect it, and the choices you have.

By using the Service, you agree to the collection and use of information as described here. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

1. Information We Collect

a) Information you provide directly:

  • Account details – name, email address, mobile number, password (encrypted).
  • Resume and profile data – the resume/CV file you upload, and any details it contains (education, work history, skills, certifications, contact details).
  • Job preferences – desired roles, locations, salary expectations, industries, and other filters you set.
  • Payment information – if you subscribe to Gohyred Pro, billing name and transaction details are collected; full card/UPI details are handled directly by our payment processor and are not stored on our servers.
  • Communications – messages you send via our contact form or support channels.
  • Startup Radar submissions – company name, website domain, careers portal URL, headquarters/office address, funding stage, hiring status, and submitter contact information provided when submitting a startup or suggesting a new city for the Startup Radar directory.

b) Information collected automatically:

  • Usage data – pages viewed, jobs clicked or saved, search queries, session duration, features used, and general navigation patterns.
  • Map interactions and regional filters – selected tech hubs (e.g. Gurugram, Noida, South Delhi), map viewport/zoom states, and view preferences used while browsing the Startup Radar map. We do not continuously track your device’s precise background GPS location without your consent.
  • Device and log data – IP address, browser type, operating system, device identifiers, referring URLs, and timestamps.
  • Cookies and similar technologies – as described in our Cookie Policy.

c) Information generated by our AI features:

  • Parsed resume data – structured skills, experience, and qualifications extracted from your uploaded resume by our AI parser.
  • Match scores and ATS suggestions – outputs generated when our AI compares your profile against job listings or evaluates ATS compatibility.

d) Information from third parties:

If job listings are aggregated from third-party sources (e.g., LinkedIn, Indeed, Naukri, Internshala), we may receive listing metadata but not your personal data from those platforms unless you separately connect an account.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use collected data to:

  • Create and manage your account;
  • Parse your resume and generate AI-powered job matches and skill scores;
  • Display relevant job listings and personalize your dashboard;
  • Verify, moderate, and publish startup profiles, tech hubs, and active hiring status on Startup Radar;
  • Provide ATS resume optimization suggestions;
  • Process subscription payments and manage billing for Gohyred Pro;
  • Send service-related communications (account notices, job alerts, billing receipts) and, where you've opted in, promotional updates;
  • Monitor, maintain, and improve the performance, security, and functionality of the Service;
  • Detect, prevent, and address fraud, abuse, or violations of our Terms of Service;
  • Comply with legal obligations.

We do not use your resume content to train third-party AI models beyond what is necessary to provide the parsing/matching feature to you, and we do not sell your resume or personal data to data brokers.

3. How We Share Your Information

We share personal data only in the following circumstances:

  • Service providers – trusted vendors who help us operate the Service (e.g., cloud hosting, payment processors, analytics providers, customer support tools), bound by confidentiality and data protection obligations.
  • Job applications you initiate – if you apply to a listing through Gohyred, the relevant details you choose to submit (e.g., resume, contact info) are shared with the employer or the third-party platform hosting that listing, in accordance with their own privacy practices.
  • Public Startup Radar directory – verified business information (such as company name, official website, public career page link, funding stage, and office location) submitted to Startup Radar is made publicly visible on the interactive map to help job seekers discover local opportunities. Submitter personal email addresses are kept confidential and used solely for administrative verification.
  • Legal requirements – where required to comply with applicable law, regulation, legal process, or governmental request, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Gohyred, our users, or the public.
  • Business transfers – in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, personal data may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to standard confidentiality protections.

We do not sell your personal data to third parties for their own marketing purposes.

4. Cookies and Tracking

We use cookies and similar technologies to operate and improve the Service. Details on the types of cookies used, their purposes, and how to manage your preferences are set out in our Cookie Policy.

5. Data Retention

  • Account and profile data is retained while your account remains active.
  • Resume files are retained until you delete them from your profile or close your account, whichever occurs first.
  • If you delete your account, we will delete or anonymize your personal data within 30 days, except where retention is required for legal, tax, billing, or dispute-resolution purposes.
  • Aggregated or anonymized usage data (which cannot identify you) may be retained indefinitely for analytics purposes.

6. Your Rights and Choices

Depending on your location, you may have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you;
  • Correct inaccurate or incomplete data;
  • Request deletion of your account and associated data;
  • Withdraw consent for optional communications or processing at any time;
  • Request a copy of your data in a portable format;

However, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. Children's Privacy

The Service is not intended for children under 13. Users under 18 must have parental or guardian awareness and consent, as described in our Terms of Service. If we learn that we have inadvertently collected personal data from a child under 13 without appropriate consent, we will take steps to delete it.
