QA / Software Testing Intern – Mobile App \& API Testing Job Type: Internship Domain: Software Quality Assurance / Mobile Application Testing Location: Chennai / On\-site or your preferred work mode Experience: Fresher Internship Duration: 3–6 months Stipend: Add based on your company policy Job Description FYNO Digital is looking for a motivated QA/software testing intern to work on an active mobile application project involving customer and service\-provider/driver workflows, backend APIs, payments, maps/location services, real\-time communication, notifications, and an admin portal. This is a hands\-on testing role. The candidate may be a fresher but should have a good understanding of software testing fundamentals and be comfortable testing real mobile applications and APIs. Responsibilities Perform manual functional testing of Android/iOS mobile applications. Test REST APIs using Postman or similar API\-testing tools. Prepare and maintain test cases, test scenarios, checklists and bug reports. Perform positive, negative, boundary, integration and regression testing. Validate complete user journeys and business workflows. Test authentication, registration, OTP/login and role\-based functionality. Test location/GPS, maps, pickup/drop and route\-related workflows. Test payment flows using sandbox/test environments such as Razorpay. Validate push notifications and notification\-related workflows. Test real\-time application functionality such as status updates and live interactions. Verify API request/response data, HTTP status codes, authentication and error handling. Test Admin Portal functionality where required. Report bugs with clear reproduction steps, screenshots/videos, severity and expected vs actual results. Retest developer fixes and maintain regression results. Work closely with developers and the technical/project team during staging and release testing. Help validate builds before UAT and production releases. Required Knowledge Candidates should have basic practical knowledge of: Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC) Manual testing Functional \& integration testing Regression and smoke testing Test\-case preparation Bug life cycle Severity vs priority REST API testing Postman JSON request/response understanding HTTP methods such as GET, POST, PUT/PATCH and DELETE HTTP status codes Mobile application testing Android/iOS application behaviour Basic database/SQL concepts Good to Have Knowledge or exposure to the following will be an advantage: Razorpay/payment gateway testing Google Maps/GPS/location testing Firebase/FCM push notifications WebSocket/Socket.IO or real\-time application testing Authentication/JWT testing PostgreSQL AWS/staging environments S3/file\-upload testing Basic security testing concepts Git/GitHub Jira, ClickUp, Trello or similar bug/project tracking tools Chrome DevTools Automation testing is not mandatory for this internship. Basic exposure to Selenium, Appium, Playwright or API automation is a plus. Candidate Profile We are looking for someone who is detail\-orientated and interested in becoming a professional QA engineer. The candidate should be able to understand a workflow, think about how it can fail, reproduce issues consistently, and document bugs clearly rather than simply checking whether screens open. Fresh graduates and final\-year students from B.E/B.Tech, BCA, MCA, B.Sc/M.Sc Computer Science, IT or related disciplines can apply if they have relevant testing knowledge.
