Job Description: QA Automation Engineer – PlaywrightExperience 8\+ years in Software Quality Assurance / Test Automation Role Senior QA Automation Engineer / SDET Job Summary We are looking for an experienced QA Automation Engineer with 8\+ years of experience in software testing and strong hands\-on expertise in **Playwright automation**. The candidate should have solid knowledge of UI, API, regression, integration, and end\-to\-end testing, along with experience designing scalable automation frameworks and integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines. Key Responsibilities * Design, develop, and maintain robust automated test frameworks using **Playwright**. * Create and execute UI, functional, regression, smoke, integration, and end\-to\-end test suites. * Develop automation scripts using **TypeScript/JavaScript**. * Automate web applications across Chromium, Firefox, and WebKit. * Implement Page Object Model (POM), reusable utilities, fixtures, test data management, and custom reporters. * Perform API testing and integrate API validation with UI automation. * Analyze test failures, identify defects, and work closely with developers to resolve issues. * Participate in requirements analysis, test planning, test case design, execution, and defect management. * Integrate Playwright automation with **Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, or similar CI/CD tools**. * Configure parallel execution, retries, test sharding, trace collection, screenshots, videos, and HTML reporting. * Maintain automation suites and improve test stability, execution time, and coverage. * Perform cross\-browser and responsive testing. * Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and collaborate with developers, product owners, and other QA engineers. * Review automation code and mentor junior QA engineers. * Identify opportunities to improve QA processes, automation coverage, and overall product quality. Required Technical Skills * 8\+ years of experience in Software Testing / QA Automation. * Strong hands\-on experience with **Playwright**. * Strong programming experience in **TypeScript or JavaScript**. * Excellent knowledge of Playwright locators, assertions, fixtures, hooks, configuration, projects, and test runners. * Experience with **Page Object Model and automation framework design**. * Strong understanding of **Selenium/WebDriver concepts** is desirable. * Experience with **REST API testing** using tools such as Postman, Playwright APIRequest, or similar. * Good knowledge of **SQL and database validation**. * Experience with Git/GitHub/GitLab/Bitbucket. * Hands\-on experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or Azure DevOps. * Understanding of Docker and cloud\-based test execution is desirable. * Knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodology. * Experience with defect tracking tools such as Jira. Education Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
