Technical Architect Chennai, Tamil Nadu **Job Summary** --------------- **Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET)** **Agentic AI Test Automation • TypeScript • Node.js • React** *Full\-Time \| Engineering \| Hybrid / Remote* **About the Role** We are looking for a Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) who combines strong software engineering skills with a passion for quality and automation. In this role, you will design and build intelligent, agentic AI\-driven test automation frameworks, working across the full stack with TypeScript, Node.js, and React to ensure our applications are robust, scalable, and delivered with confidence. You will partner closely with developers, product managers, and QA leadership to embed quality at every stage of the software development lifecycle. **Key Responsibilities** ------------------------ **Key Responsibilities** * Design, build, and maintain scalable automated test frameworks and pipelines using TypeScript and Node.js. * Develop and integrate agentic AI\-based testing solutions (LLM\-driven test generation, self\-healing test scripts, autonomous exploratory testing agents) to increase test coverage and reduce manual effort. * Build and maintain UI automation suites for React\-based applications, including component\-level and end\-to\-end testing. * Collaborate with software engineers to embed testability and quality gates into the CI/CD pipeline (e.g., GitHub Actions, Jenkins, GitLab CI). * Write clean, maintainable, and well\-documented test code and automation utilities/libraries. * Design API/backend test strategies for Node.js services (REST/GraphQL), including contract, integration, and performance testing. * Evaluate and prototype emerging agentic AI tools and frameworks (e.g., LangChain, AutoGen, custom LLM agents) for test authoring, triage, and root\-cause analysis. * Analyze test results, flaky tests, and production incidents to continuously improve automation reliability and coverage. * Mentor QA and engineering peers on automation best practices, AI\-assisted testing techniques, and coding standards. * Participate in sprint planning, code reviews, and design discussions, advocating for a quality\-first mindset. **Skill Requirements** ---------------------- **Required Skills \& Qualifications** * Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience. * 3\+ years of experience as an SDET, QA Automation Engineer, or Software Engineer with a strong testing focus. * Strong hands\-on experience with TypeScript and Node.js for building automation frameworks and tooling. * Solid experience testing React applications (component testing, hooks, state management, DOM interactions). * Practical experience with or strong interest in agentic AI concepts — autonomous agents, LLM tool\-use/function calling, prompt engineering, or AI\-driven test generation. * Proficiency with test automation tools/frameworks such as Playwright, Cypress, Jest, Vitest, or WebdriverIO. * Experience with API testing and tools such as Supertest, Postman/Newman, or REST\-assured equivalents in the Node.js ecosystem. * Working knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, version control (Git), and containerization (Docker). * Understanding of software testing principles: unit, integration, end\-to\-end, regression, performance, and security testing. * Strong debugging, analytical, and problem\-solving skills with keen attention to detail. * Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work cross\-functionally. **Preferred Qualifications** * Experience building or integrating AI agents using frameworks such as LangChain, LangGraph, AutoGen, or the Anthropic/OpenAI APIs. * Familiarity with prompt engineering, retrieval\-augmented generation (RAG), or fine\-tuning for test\-related use cases. * Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and cloud\-based test execution grids. * Exposure to performance/load testing tools (k6, Artillery, JMeter). * Knowledge of accessibility (a11y) testing standards. * Contributions to open\-source testing tools or internal automation frameworks. * ISTQB certification or equivalent QA credential. **Other Requirements** ----------------------
