Job Title: Product Engineering Lead (Node.js \& Fintech) **Location:** Noida, Uttar Pradesh **Job Type:** Full\-time **Experience Level:** 6–10 Years About the Opportunity We are a profitable, founder\-led digital commerce and fintech rewards enterprise operating for over a decade. As we scale our high\-throughput transactional infrastructure to process over $1B\+ in annual volume across payments, rewards, and financial services, we are hiring a hands\-on **Product Engineering Lead**. In this role, you will report directly to the founders, serving as both a core technical architect and a high\-agency team leader (50% hands\-on coding and architecture / 50% people leadership). Key Responsibilities * **Payments \& Transaction Infrastructure:** Architect and scale resilient payment systems, reconciliation engines, settlement pipelines, exception handling, and third\-party banking/aggregator integrations. * **Distributed Backend Systems:** Design, build, and maintain production\-grade microservices and APIs using Node.js, ensuring high availability, fault tolerance, and low latency under heavy throughput. * **Team Leadership \& Engineering Standards:** Directly manage, mentor, and recruit a squad of engineers; set code review benchmarks, enforce testing discipline, and uphold technical excellence across the sprint cycle. * **Data \& Reliability Engineering:** Manage production database schemas, telemetry, logging, and data pipelines for reporting and real\-time transaction monitoring. * **Risk \& Fraud Mitigation:** Build real\-time anomaly detection engines, risk intelligence rules, and security controls to safeguard financial flows. * **AI\-Native Workflows:** Champion AI adoption across the development lifecycle—integrating LLM assistants, automated testing, smart PR reviews, log parsing, and accelerated incident resolution. Qualifications \& Requirements * **Total Experience:** 6–10 years in backend platform development and distributed systems architecture. * **Core Tech Stack:** Advanced, current hands\-on development expertise in **Node.js** and modern JavaScript/TypeScript ecosystems. * **Fintech Domain Experience (Mandatory):** Direct track record building and scaling payments, transaction gateways, reconciliation platforms, or financial technology rails. * **People Management Experience (Mandatory):** Demonstrated experience directly leading, mentoring, and hiring software engineers. * **System Design \& Databases:** Deep practical understanding of relational and NoSQL databases, message brokers (Kafka/RabbitMQ), caching, and cloud infrastructure (AWS). * **AI\-First Mindset:** Active familiarity with embedding modern AI coding tools and automations into daily engineering workflows. * **Ownership:** A high\-ownership, founder\-aligned mindset with the technical maturity to transition into broader engineering leadership.
