Senior Quality Assurance (QA) Analyst with Property & Casualty Insurance Experience

About the Role

**Position Summary** We are seeking a detail\-oriented and proactive Quality Assurance Analyst to join our growing team. This individual will play a key role in ensuring the quality and stability of our insurance platforms by participating in requirement reviews, test planning, manual and automated testing, defect management, and release validation. The ideal candidate is passionate about quality, takes ownership of testing activities, and can work effectively with Business Analysts, Developers, Product Owners, and business stakeholders to deliver high\-quality software solutions. **Key Responsibilities** **Test Planning \& Execution** * Review business requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria for completeness and testability. * Develop comprehensive test scenarios and test cases covering functional, integration, regression, and end\-to\-end workflows. * Execute manual testing across web applications and backend systems. * Perform exploratory testing to identify potential risks and gaps. * Validate fixes and retest reported defects. **Defect Management** * Identify, document, and track defects using Azure DevOps. * Work closely with developers to troubleshoot issues and validate resolutions. * Participate in defect triage meetings and provide testing status updates. **Automation Support** * Create and maintain automation\-ready test cases. * Identify opportunities to increase automated test coverage. **API \& Database Testing** * Validate APIs using Postman or similar tools. * Perform backend validation using SQL queries. * Verify data integrity and consistency across systems. **Required Qualifications** * Strong manual testing experience in web\-based applications. * Experience creating detailed test cases and test plans. * Knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies. * Experience with defect tracking tools such as Azure DevOps. * Strong SQL skills for database validation. * Experience with API testing using Postman or similar tools. * Excellent analytical and problem\-solving abilities. * Strong verbal and written communication skills. **Preferred Qualifications** * Experience in Property \& Casualty Insurance systems. * Knowledge of policy quoting, endorsements, billing, payments, renewals, and underwriting workflows. * Experience testing integrations and web services. * Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and test automation best practices. **Desired Characteristics** We are looking for someone who: * Takes ownership and accountability for quality. * Is curious and asks questions to fully understand business requirements. * Thinks beyond the happy path and identifies edge cases. * Collaborates effectively across teams. * Can balance multiple priorities in a fast\-paced environment. * Is committed to continuous improvement and automation. **Success Measures** Within the first 6 months, this individual will: * Become familiar with our insurance platforms and business processes. * Independently execute testing activities for assigned features. * Contribute to regression and release testing efforts. * Improve test coverage through well\-designed test scenarios. * Support automation initiatives by creating automation\-ready test cases. * Help improve overall product quality and release confidence. Pay: ₹500,000\.00 \- ₹1,500,000\.00 per year Experience: * Web Application Testing: 5 years (Required) * Functional \+ regression: 5 years (Required) * Azure DevOps or equivalent: 5 years (Required) * API testing \- Postman or equivalent: 5 years (Required) * P\&C insurance: 3 years (Required) Work Location: Remote
