**Job Title:** QA Engineer – Automation (Playwright / Selenium) **Location:** Visakhapatnam/Hyderabad \- Work from office (Hybrid) **Experience:** 6 – 10 Years **Employment Type:** Full\-Time Looking for immediate to 15 days joiner only **Job Summary** We are looking for a detail\-oriented QA Engineer with five or more years of experience in manual and automation testing. The ideal candidate should have strong hands\-on experience in web test automation using **Playwright with JavaScript/TypeScript, OR Java with Selenium and BDD Cucumber**. The candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, maintaining, and executing automated test scripts to ensure the quality, reliability, and performance of web applications. This role requires close collaboration with developers, product managers, and business stakeholders throughout the software development lifecycle. **Key Responsibilities** * Design, develop, maintain, and execute automated test scripts using **Playwright or Selenium**. * Build and maintain scalable automation frameworks using **JavaScript/TypeScript or Java**, including **BDD frameworks with Cucumber** where applicable. * Perform manual and automated functional, regression, integration, smoke, and sanity testing. * Create and maintain test plans, test scenarios, test cases, test data, and test execution reports. * Identify, document, track, retest, and verify software defects. * Collaborate with developers to troubleshoot and resolve application issues. * Participate in requirement analysis and provide feedback from a QA perspective. * Perform API testing using Postman or similar tools. * Validate application and database data using SQL queries. * Integrate automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines. * Monitor automated test execution results, analyze failures, and report defects. * Improve test automation coverage, framework stability, and execution efficiency. * Perform cross\-browser and cross\-platform testing. * Ensure applications meet defined quality standards before production release. * Participate in Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand\-ups, reviews, and retrospectives. **Required Skills** * Five or more years of experience in software testing, including manual and automation testing. * Strong hands\-on experience in web automation testing using **Playwright (JavaScript/TypeScript) OR Selenium (Java) with BDD Cucumber**. * Experience developing and maintaining automation frameworks, including BDD\-based frameworks (Cucumber) for Selenium\-based candidates. * Experience with Page Object Model or similar automation design patterns. * Strong experience in functional, regression, integration, smoke, and sanity testing. * Experience in test planning, test case design, execution, and defect management. * Experience in API testing using Postman or similar tools. * Experience with defect tracking tools such as Jira or Azure DevOps. * Familiarity with Git version control. * Working knowledge of SQL for database validation. * Understanding of SDLC, STLC, Agile, and Scrum methodologies. * Strong analytical, debugging, and problem\-solving skills. * Good written and verbal communication skills. **Preferred Skills** * Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or Azure DevOps Pipelines. * Familiarity with Node.js, npm, and Playwright Test Runner (for Playwright candidates). * Familiarity with Maven/Gradle and TestNG/JUnit (for Selenium/Java candidates). * Experience testing REST APIs and microservices. * Knowledge of cross\-browser and cross\-platform testing. * Exposure to performance testing tools such as JMeter or K6\. * Exposure to security testing concepts or tools. * Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure. * Experience with Docker or containerized test environments is an added advantage.
