Senior Functional tester/QA Analyst

About the Role

The QA Test Analyst is responsible for performing quality assurance testing for online products and platforms throughout the product development lifecycle. This position is responsible for reviewing and understanding online product specifications and enhancement requests; creating manual test cases; executing test plans; communicating test results to project analysts, business owners, and external developers; submitting, tracking, and prioritizing defects and bugs with project analysts and vendors; and ensuring defects are resolved on schedule. Understanding of domain\-specific terminology and processes. Offers knowledge transfer as necessary to fellow team members Contributes to continuous improvement initiative by suggesting improvements in existing processes Actively engages in team meetings Builds relationships focused on collaboration, to enable productivity in teammates Communicates needs and goals to lead Proactively identifies and raises problems, risks Resolves conflicts respectfully and in a timely manner Shares recognition of work across team, positively reinforces others' contributions Excellent written and verbal communication Receives general direction on routine work, detailed direction on newer assignments Adept at acknowledging and receiving feedback, and applying to improve work Keeps team informed of progress of deliverables Determines appropriate action by exercising judgement within defined practices Sets personal priorities and work plan, while integrating dependencies on others' work Offers alternatives, incorporates input from others, asks for clarification Comfortable with QA process and best practices Proactively contributes to discussions in agile ceremonies, ensuring all perspectives are considered and fostering a collaborative environment. "Raises concerns during daily stand\-up meetings.”" Tests the modules, features and bug fixes Has a good grasp about most modules / features of the system Focus on requirements, delving into the advanced intricacies and its implications on regression testing SKILLS, QUALIFICATIONS \& EXPERIENCE Essential: Experience: Experience in functional and integration testing or a related field. Education: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience. Technical Skills: Basic understanding of software testing methodologies, familiarity with test management tools (e.g., JIRA, TestRail), and knowledge of HTML and CSS. Software Proficiency: Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, SharePoint). Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills. Analytical Skills: Good problem\-solving abilities and attention to detail. Teamwork: Ability to work effectively as part of a team and collaborate with others. Agile: Understanding of Agile or Scrum methodologies. GenAI: Experience using GenAI tools to improve QA efficiency, test design, analysis, and productivity.
