You will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and optimizing Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (MECM) and WSUS infrastructure across our North American desktop and server fleets. The ideal candidate brings strong expertise in patch management, application deployment, client health remediation, and Operating System Deployment (OSD) in enterprise environments.\\\\\\\\r\\\\\\\\nKey Responsibilities\\\\\\\\r\\\\\\\\nPatch Management \& WSUS Administration\\\\\\\\r\\\\\\\\n• Execute monthly patching cycles (Patch Tuesday) for NA endpoints using MECM integrated with WSUS.\\\\\\\\r\\\\\\\\n• Troubleshoot WSUS sync failures, Software Update Point (SUP) issues, and client\-side update deployment errors.\\\\\\\\r\\\\\\\\n• Perform routine WSUS maintenance, including database cleanup, decline of superseded updates, and index maintenance.\\\\\\\\r\\\\\\\\nApplication Packaging \& OS Deployment (OSD)\\\\\\\\r\\\\\\\\n• Create, test, and deploy software packages (MSI, EXE, PSADT) and monitor deployment compliance.\\\\\\\\r\\\\\\\\n• Support Task Sequences, boot images, driver packages, and PXE for bare\-metal builds and OS refreshes.\\\\\\\\r\\\\\\\\n• Investigate and resolve software delivery failures, USMT issues, and Task Sequence error codes.\\\\\\\\r\\\\\\\\nInfrastructure Support \& Client Health\\\\\\\\r\\\\\\\\n• Monitor MECM client agent health, resolving registration, communication, and boundary group assignment issues.\\\\\\\\r\\\\\\\\n• Troubleshoot Distribution Point (DP) content replication, IIS/WSUS application pools, and site system roles.\\\\\\\\r\\\\\\\\n• Manage device collections, maintenance windows, and custom compliance settings using PowerShell.\\\\\\\\r\\\\\\\\nOperational \& Incident Support\\\\\\\\r\\\\\\\\n• Resolve escalated L2 tickets within defined SLAs using ITSM platforms (e.g., ServiceNow).\\\\\\\\r\\\\\\\\n• Deep\-dive into MECM log files using CMTrace (AppEnforce.log, WUAHandler.log, CAS.log, SMSTS.log).\\\\\\\\r\\\\\\\\n• Generate operational reports for patch compliance, deployment status, and hardware/software inventory.\\\\\\\\r\\\\\\\\n• Partner with L3 engineering and regional site contacts during major software rollouts and critical incidents.\\\\\\\\r\\\\\\\\nTechnical Requirements\\\\\\\\r\\\\\\\\nArea Core Competencies\\\\\\\\r\\\\\\\\nEndpoint Management Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (MECM / SCCM), WSUS, SUP\\\\\\\\r\\\\\\\\nOSD \& Delivery Task Sequences, PXE, Boot Images, Driver Management, AppEnforce, PSADT\\\\\\\\r\\\\\\\\nAutomation \& Logs PowerShell scripting, CMTrace, WMI, custom compliance baselines\\\\\\\\r\\\\\\\\nClient OS \& AD Windows 10/11, Windows Server, Active Directory, GPO, DNS, DHCP\\\\\\\\r\\\\\\\\nCloud Hybrid (Plus) Basic knowledge of Microsoft Intune, Tenant Attach, Co\-Management\\\\\\\\r\\\\\\\\nQualifications \& Certifications\\\\\\\\r\\\\\\\\n• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or equivalent practical experience.\\\\\\\\r\\\\\\\\n• 4\+ years of dedicated hands\-on experience in MECM / SCCM system administration and support.\\\\\\\\r\\\\\\\\n• Preferred: Microsoft Certified: Endpoint Administrator Associate (MD\-102\) or equivalent.\\\\\\\\r\\\\\\\\n• Preferred: ITIL Foundation Certification **Key Responsibilities** ------------------------ Patch Management \& WSUS Administration • Execute monthly patching cycles (Patch Tuesday) for NA endpoints using MECM integrated with WSUS. • Troubleshoot WSUS sync failures, Software Update Point (SUP) issues, and client\-side update deployment errors. • Perform routine WSUS maintenance, including database cleanup, decline of superseded updates, and index maintenance.
