About the Role

About the Role Ollato Eduversity is looking for a **PHP Web Developer** for a **3\-month project\-based assignment** to support the development, enhancement, maintenance, and optimization of PHP\-based websites and web applications. The candidate will be responsible for **PHP development, MySQL database management, backend functionality, website/application integration, bug fixing, testing, and technical support** throughout the project lifecycle. Key Responsibilities1\. PHP Web Development * Develop and maintain dynamic websites and web applications using **PHP**. * Work with **Core PHP** and existing PHP\-based applications. * Develop new modules, features, forms, dashboards, and backend functionalities. * Modify and enhance existing websites/applications based on project requirements. * Ensure clean, structured, reusable, and maintainable code. 2\. MySQL \& Database Management * Design, create, and maintain **MySQL databases**. * Create and optimize database tables, relationships, queries, and stored data. * Write efficient SQL queries for data retrieval, insertion, updating, and reporting. * Troubleshoot database\-related issues and improve query/database performance. * Maintain data integrity and appropriate database security practices. 3\. Website \& Application Development * Develop responsive and user\-friendly PHP\-based websites and web applications. * Integrate frontend interfaces with PHP/MySQL backend systems. * Develop login/authentication systems, user panels, dashboards, forms, reports, and administrative modules. * Implement required APIs and third\-party integrations where applicable. * Work with existing HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Bootstrap, and related web technologies. 4\. Maintenance \& Troubleshooting * Identify and fix bugs, errors, broken functionalities, and performance issues. * Perform testing and debugging before deployment. * Maintain and update existing websites and applications. * Provide technical support during the project period. * Monitor application functionality and resolve issues within agreed timelines. 5\. Project Coordination * Understand technical requirements from the project/team lead. * Convert functional requirements into practical technical solutions. * Coordinate with project, design, content, and other team members when required. * Maintain proper documentation of developed modules and important technical changes. * Provide regular updates on development progress, completed work, and pending tasks. Required Technical Skills **Essential:** * PHP / Core PHP * MySQL * HTML5 * CSS3 * JavaScript * Bootstrap * SQL * CRUD operations * Database design and management * Website debugging and troubleshooting * Basic understanding of web security **Good to Have:** * PHP frameworks such as Laravel or CodeIgniter * REST API development/integration * AJAX / jQuery * Git/GitHub * cPanel / basic server management * Payment gateway integration * Hosting and domain configuration * Experience with educational, assessment, counselling, CRM, or management applications Candidate Profile * Graduate/Diploma in **Computer Science, IT, Software Development, or a related field**. * Practical experience in PHP and MySQL development. * Strong problem\-solving and debugging skills. * Ability to independently handle development tasks. * Good understanding of database\-driven web applications. * Ability to work on both **new development and existing application enhancement**. * Good communication and project coordination skills. * Candidates with relevant project\-based/freelance development experience may also be considered. Project Expectations During the 3\-month engagement, the developer is expected to: * Develop and implement assigned PHP\-based modules. * Manage and maintain MySQL databases. * Enhance existing websites and web applications. * Fix bugs and technical issues. * Complete assigned development milestones within timelines. * Support testing, deployment, and post\-development corrections. * Maintain proper code and technical documentation.
