Senior Test Engineer

About the Role

**Who you are**: You are an experienced Senior QA Automation Engineer with strong expertise in API automation testing, Java, ReadyAPI, Postman, and CI/CD practices. The ideal candidate should have hands\-on experience testing RESTful and SOAP APIs, validating complex integrations, and building robust automation frameworks for enterprise\-grade applications. The role requires a strong understanding of API testing, backend validation, automation scripting, and quality engineering practices across distributed systems. **Key Responsibilities:**  Design and execute comprehensive API test strategies, test plans, test scenarios, and test cases.  Develop, maintain, and enhance scalable API automation frameworks using Java, ReadyAPI, and relevant automation tools.  Perform functional, regression, integration, system, and end\-to\-end testing across APIs, microservices, web applications, and backend services.  Conduct extensive API testing using Postman and ReadyAPI, covering REST and SOAP services.  Validate XML and JSON payloads, request/response structures, business logic, data mapping, and service integrations.  Perform authentication and authorization testing, including token\-based security, OAuth, and other applicable mechanisms.  Design and execute API automation scripts using Java and relevant testing frameworks.  Validate API contracts, error handling, status codes, response times, and service dependencies.  Perform database testing using SQL to validate data integrity, backend processes, and business rules.  Integrate automated API test suites into CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins.  Utilize Git for source control and contribute to automated build and deployment workflows.  Analyze application logs and production issues using monitoring and observability tools.  Collaborate with Developers, Product Managers, DevOps Engineers, and other stakeholders to identify quality risks and resolve defects.  Leverage AI\-powered tools to improve test case generation, test data creation, defect analysis, and QA productivity.  Participate in Agile ceremonies and contribute to continuous improvement of QA processes and automation practices. **Required Skills**  3\+ years of experience in Software Quality Assurance, with significant expertise in API Automation Testing.  Strong hands\-on experience in API testing using ReadyAPI and Postman.  Strong programming and scripting skills in Java for test automation.  Experience developing and maintaining API automation frameworks.  Strong understanding of RESTful and SOAP web services.  Experience with XML and JSON payload validation.  Expertise in API authentication, authorization, token\-based security, and contract testing.  Hands\-on experience with Selenium WebDriver for web automation testing.  Strong understanding of manual and automation testing methodologies.  Practical experience with Jenkins, CI/CD pipelines, and Git.  Experience with Groovy scripting, particularly for ReadyAPI automation and test customization.  Solid SQL and database testing experience.  Experience testing microservices, enterprise applications, and system integrations.  Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and root\-cause analysis skills.  Excellent communication and collaboration skills.  Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments. **Good to Have**  Experience with REST Assured for API automation.  Knowledge of performance testing tools and methodologies.  Understanding of security testing principles and API vulnerabilities.  Experience testing cloud\-native applications and distributed systems.  Exposure to observability tools such as Splunk, Dynatrace, or Datadog.  Experience working in SaaS, FinTech, Payments, or Enterprise Product environments.  Exposure to AI\-powered testing tools and intelligent test automation practices. **Primary Technical Skills** API Automation \| ReadyAPI \| Postman \| Java \| Selenium \| Groovy \| Jenkins \| CI/CD \| REST \& SOAP \| XML/JSON \| SQL \| Git Pay: ₹492,225\.50 \- ₹1,248,256\.81 per year Benefits: * Health insurance * Leave encashment * Provident Fund * Work from home Work Location: In person
