About the Role

**TECHNICAL MANAGER, ENGINEERING · Gurgaon** A telecom VAS engineer who became a leader without losing the engineering — still able to review code and debug a live signalling fault, now doing it through a team and in front of an operator's CTIO. NON\-NEGOTIABLES Minimum 10 years in telecom VAS. Adjacent core\-network platform experience is welcome, but the domain is not learnable on the job here. Candidate must be able to hold a technical conversation with an operator's network team as a peer. Hands\-on signalling and protocol depth: SIP, RTP/SRTP, SMPP, IN/SCP, OCS, HLR, USSD, SMTP. Practical understanding of charging and messaging flows — not vendor\-tool familiarity. Real, current coding ability in C/C\+\+, Java, or Python, with fundamentals intact: data structures, concurrency and multithreading, IPC, sockets, memory management. Roughly 5\+ years hands\-on development in their history. 3\+ years setting technical direction — reviewing designs and code, coaching engineers, owning HLD. Solution architecture across greenfield and brownfield operator environments: HLD/LLD, impact analysis, HA/redundancy/failover design. Strong Linux for development and production debugging (profiling, tracing, log/system diagnostics). People management — has actually hired, grown, reviewed, and retained engineers. Client\-facing with telecom operators, at senior level. AI tooling in real delivery — Claude Code, Cursor, Copilot or equivalent, with a concrete story of impact. Not hybrid, not remote. **STRONG SIGNALS** Applied AI engineering depth: prompt and context engineering, RAG, LLM evaluation, internal AI tooling (MCP, automation pipelines) Agentic AI or Conversational AI (voice/chat) product experience Multi\-country operator deployments, especially Africa, MENA, South Asia Technical pre\-sales or solutions consulting with operator clients Observability stacks: Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry, ELK, Datadog Relational database depth (Oracle, PostgreSQL, MySQL) — schema, SQL/stored procedures, query optimisation at volume SDP integrations and billing\-system migrations on live traffic Pay: ₹3,032,953\.96 \- ₹3,999,648\.47 per year Work Location: In person
