Mid Level BA/QA

About the Role

**Role Overview** We are looking for a **Mid\-Level Business Analyst / Quality Analyst (BA/QA)** who can work across both **business analysis and quality assurance activities**. The candidate should have strong experience in understanding business requirements, preparing functional documentation, creating and executing test scenarios, identifying defects, and coordinating with development teams. The ideal candidate should also have hands\-on knowledge of **Automation Testing** and be comfortable using **AI tools and techniques** to improve BA and QA activities such as requirement analysis, test case generation, documentation, defect analysis, test automation, and reporting. The candidate will work closely with Business Analysts, Developers, QA Engineers, Project Leads, and stakeholders to ensure requirements are clearly defined and the delivered solution meets business and quality expectations. **Roles \& Responsibilities** **Business Analysis Responsibilities** * Gather, analyze, and document business requirements from stakeholders. * Understand existing business processes and identify gaps, dependencies, and improvement opportunities. * Convert business requirements into clear, detailed, and testable functional requirements. * Prepare user stories, acceptance criteria, process flows, functional specifications, and other project documentation. * Participate in requirement discussions with stakeholders and development teams to clarify functional and business requirements. * Use **AI tools such as Generative AI and AI\-assisted productivity tools to analyze requirements**, identify missing information, summarize discussions, draft user stories, create acceptance criteria, and improve functional documentation. * Review and validate AI\-generated requirements, user stories, and documentation to ensure they accurately reflect the actual business requirements. * Identify ambiguities, dependencies, edge cases, and potential risks in requirements using both analytical techniques and AI\-assisted analysis where appropriate. * Participate in sprint planning, backlog refinement, demos, daily stand\-ups, retrospectives, and other Agile ceremonies. * Maintain requirements and ensure traceability between business requirements, user stories, development, and testing. * Collaborate with QA and development teams to ensure requirements are testable and clearly understood. * Review developed functionality against business requirements. * Support UAT activities and coordinate with business users. * Prepare and maintain functional documentation, user guides, process documentation, and release\-related documentation. **QA Responsibilities** * Analyze business and functional requirements from a testing and quality perspective. * Identify functional, integration, usability, data, and edge\-case scenarios based on requirements. * Prepare test scenarios, test cases, test data, and test execution plans. * Use **AI tools to assist in generating test scenarios, test cases, test data, negative scenarios, edge cases, and regression test coverage.** * Review and validate AI\-generated test cases to ensure they are relevant, accurate, and aligned with the actual requirements. * Use AI\-assisted techniques for **defect analysis, root cause investigation, test result analysis, log analysis, and QA documentation where appropriate.** * Execute functional, integration, regression, compatibility, system, and database testing. * Perform API testing and validate application responses and data where applicable. * Identify, document, prioritize, and track defects. * Collaborate with developers to investigate and resolve defects. * Perform defect verification and regression testing after fixes. * Identify gaps in test coverage and continuously improve test scenarios using analytical and AI\-assisted approaches. * Ensure adequate test coverage for business requirements and acceptance criteria. * Identify repetitive and suitable test cases for automation. * Develop and maintain automated test scripts using approved automation frameworks. * Execute automated smoke and regression test suites. * Analyze automation failures and distinguish between application defects, automation script issues, and environment issues. * Maintain reusable automation components and improve automation coverage. * Support integration of automated tests into CI/CD pipelines. * Participate in release validation and production deployment verification. * Prepare QA status reports, test execution reports, defect reports, and release sign\-off documentation. * Identify quality risks, dependencies, and potential issues early and communicate them to the project team. **Required Qualifications** * Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field. * **1\-2 years of experience in Business Analysis** and Quality Assurance. * Strong understanding of both BA and QA processes. * Hands\-on experience with manual testing. * Practical knowledge of **automation frameworks.** * Working knowledge of SQL, API testing, and web application testing. * Experience with Agile/Scrum methodology. * Experience with Azure DevOps. * Practical knowledge of **Generative AI and AI\-assisted tools f**or BA and QA activities. * Strong analytical, problem\-solving, communication, and documentation skills.
