IT Manager

About the Role

1\. Lead the IT team and assign clear ownership for user support, infrastructure, cloud services, security and technical projects. 2\. Prepare the IT work plan, budget and procurement requirements in line with approved business priorities. 3\. Review availability, capacity and reliability of networks, Linux and Windows Server environments, applications and cloud services. 4\. Monitor the helpdesk queue, TT ageing, response and resolution SLAs, escalations and recurring problems, and ensure corrective action. 5\. Coordinate major incidents, user communication, vendor escalation and service restoration, followed by documented review and prevention measures. 6\. Oversee access control, endpoint security, patching, data protection and approved security practices across users and systems. 7\. Review backup, restoration and disaster\-recovery arrangements, and ensure recovery tests and identified gaps are acted on. 8\. Plan and supervise technology upgrades, office connectivity, migrations and application implementations with controlled changes and acceptance checks. 9\. Manage vendor performance, maintenance contracts, software licences, renewals and IT asset controls within delegated authority. 10\. Oversee Office 365 and collaboration services, and coordinate infrastructure and application requirements with department heads. 11\. Maintain IT policies, procedures, audit evidence and management MIS covering service performance, costs, risks and project status. 12\. Develop the IT team, improve user awareness and introduce validated standardisation or automation to reduce repeated support issues.
