Manual Tester / QA Engineer

About the Role

**Job Description** We are looking for a **Manual Tester / QA Engineer** with 2–3 years of experience in manual software testing. The candidate will be responsible for testing web applications, identifying defects, and ensuring the quality of software releases. **Role Overview** The **Manual Tester / QA Engineer** will be responsible for ensuring the quality, functionality, and reliability of web\-based applications through comprehensive manual testing. The role involves understanding business and functional requirements, designing and executing test cases, identifying and tracking defects, validating fixes, and collaborating closely with developers, Business Analysts, and product teams throughout the software development lifecycle. **Key Responsibilities** * Analyze **BRDs, functional requirements, and user stories** to understand business requirements. * Prepare **test scenarios, test cases, test data, and test execution reports**. * Perform **Functional, Regression, Smoke, Sanity, Integration, and Retesting**. * Execute test cases and document test results. * Identify, log, track, and retest defects using tools such as **Jira, Azure DevOps, or similar**. * Perform **end\-to\-end testing** of web\-based applications. * Participate in **daily Scrum/stand\-up meetings**, defect triage, and sprint activities. * Work closely with developers, Business Analysts, and product teams to resolve functional issues. * Perform **cross\-browser and UI validation**. * Verify fixes and ensure defects are properly closed. * Support **UAT and production validation** activities when required. * Maintain test documentation and provide testing status updates. **Required Skills** * 2–3 years of experience in **Manual Software Testing / QA**. * Strong understanding of **SDLC and STLC**. * Good knowledge of **defect life cycle** and testing methodologies. * Experience in writing clear and effective **test cases and test scenarios**. * Hands\-on experience with **Jira/Azure DevOps or similar defect\-management tools**. * Good understanding of **Agile/Scrum methodology**. * Basic knowledge of **SQL** for database validation is preferred. * Basic knowledge of **API testing using Postman** is an added advantage. * Good analytical, communication, and problem\-solving skills. **Good to Have** * Basic **API testing – Postman/Swagger**. * Basic **SQL queries**. * Exposure to **Selenium/Playwright or automation testing**. * Experience working in **Agile/Scrum teams**. * Experience with **web and mobile application testing**. **How to Apply** **Send your** **resume**. **Email:** hr.homeideastechnologies@gmail.com **Phone:** 95144 48052 **Indhumathi S – HR Executive** Pay: From ₹15,000\.00 per month Benefits: * Food provided Work Location: In person
