**About the Role** We are seeking a Senior Android Engineer who is a "Builder" at heart and a "Leader" by choice. In this role, you aren’t just supervising; you are the primary driver of product velocity and quality. This is a high\-stakes role designed for those who thrive in ambiguity, ownership, and speed. **What Will You Do?** The Senior Android Engineer will: ● **Build**: Design, build, and maintain scalable solutions supporting global operations. ● **Ensure High Availability:** Own the delivery of i/o optimized low latency APIs and DB Schema that supports 24/7 uptime and exponential scalability ● **Champion "Agentic" Engineering:** Drive an Agentic\-first approach to solution design, utilizing AIdriven development (AIDD) to solve complex engineering hurdles. ● **Optimize Daily:** Identify bottlenecks in EUM and enhance end\-user experience. ● **Collaborate and Mentor:** Work across functional teams and product managers, to fine\-tune apps, build experience, and guide developers in writing efficient, high\-performance code. ● **Security**: Implement Security Principles and PII Compliance within the application schema and access policies. ● **System Design** \- develop, and sustain large scale distributed platform services. ● **Mentorship** \- Provide hands\-on technical leadership: software design and development, coding, debugging complex issues, prototyping new features and reviewing code for quality. Help the team plan and execute technical deliverables. Mentor junior engineers capable of developing and running scalable, reliable, maintainable services. ● **Data Driven** \- Keep a focus on the usage/metrics of the owned services and be super customer focused. ● **Innovation** \- Research emerging technologies to enhance platform capabilities **What Must You Bring?** ● **Technical Depth:** 3\-6 years of experience in development and implementation using Android Application Development, Android SDK, Android Studio, Cloud Integration, Debugging, GitHub Actions, Google Analytics, Kotlin, Mobile Security, Mobile Testing, Networking Basics, Push Notifications, UI/UX Design. ● **Pipelines :** Strong grasp of cloud platforms, DevOps, and CI/CD pipelines, Knowledge of Google Play Console for app release, monitoring, and updates. ● **Product Experience** – handson experience of building and improving a high scale D2C, B2B, impression, attribution applications, trade, order management in apps. ● **Hands**\-on Expertise: Deep expertise of DSA, LLD, HLD, ACID, caching, and experience in creating dynamic or server driven components/UI ● **0\-to\-1 Mindset**: A proven ability to navigate the challenges and pace of early\-stage product journeys. ● **Observability Focus**: Experience setting up monitoring frameworks to proactively identify slowrunning processes and blocking issues. ● **Modern Workflow:** Mastery of Git\-based workflows, including rigorous PR reviews and configuration management. ● **Performance Tooling**: Expertise in leveraging Profilers and Performance Insights to assist teams in tuning complex stored procedures. **What Skills Must You Have?** ● **Core Tech:** Android Application Development, Android SDK, Android Studio, Cloud Integration, Debugging, GitHub Actions, Google Analytics, Kotlin, Mobile Security, Mobile Testing, Networking Basics, Push Notifications, UI/UX Design, Unit Test, HTTP/TCP, AIDD, AIRD, Mobile First APIs ● **Libraries :** Experience with Jetpack Compose, MVVM, Clean Architecture, Coroutines, Flow, and Android Jetpack libraries ● **AI Tooling:** Advanced expertise in Cursor and Windsurf for AI\-driven development and code generation. ● **Architecture:** Strong grasp of micro\-service scalable architecture and asset hosting for edge performance, experience with dependency injection and modular Architecture ● **Scale:** Network Optimisation, PLT, Screen Render, apk size optimisation ● **Infrastructure:** Familiarity with AWS ecosystems ● **Process:** Expertise in Sprints and SDLC Management to maintain high velocity without sacrificing quality.
