Investment Associate – Chartered Accountant (CA)

About the Role

Key responsibilities: A. Investment Evaluation 1. Source and evaluate potential investment opportunities. 2. Assess startups based on their business models, market potential, competitive landscape, scalability, and execution capability. 3. Conduct financial, commercial, operational, and strategic due diligence. 4. Develop investment theses and identify key risks and growth drivers. B. Financial Analysis 1. Build and review financial models, forecasts, and valuation models. 2. Analyse financial statements, unit economics, cash flows, and key business metrics. 3. Perform market sizing and industry research to support investment decisions. C. Investment Committee 1. Prepare detailed investment memorandums and presentations. 2. Present findings and recommendations to the Investment Committee. 3. Support partners in making informed investment decisions through data-driven analysis. D. Portfolio Management 1. Track portfolio company performance against operational and financial KPIs. 2. Work closely with founders to monitor growth, identify challenges, and evaluate follow-on investment opportunities. 3. Assist with strategic initiatives and portfolio reviews. E. Market Intelligence 1. Stay informed about emerging industries, investment trends, and the startup ecosystem. 2. Build relationships with founders, investors, accelerators, and industry experts.
