We operate across India and the US, run our own warehouse and in\-house printing facility in Delhi, and have been featured on Shark Tank India Season 4\. If you thrive in environments where you own outcomes end to end, you’ll fit right in. **THE ROLE** We’re looking for a Full\-Stack Developer who can take ownership of our entire technology stack—from our customer\-facing author dashboard and internal operations tools to the AI\-powered automations and integrations that keep our publishing engine running. You won’t just write code; you’ll architect systems, make technical decisions, and directly shape how thousands of authors experience BookLeaf. This role sits at the intersection of product engineering and AI integration. You’ll work on everything from building and improving web applications to setting up intelligent workflows using AI APIs and automation platforms. **WHAT YOU’LL DO** * **Build \& Scale Web Applications:** Design, develop, and maintain our author\-facing dashboard, internal tools, and operations software. Take features from concept to production. * **AI \& LLM Integration:** Integrate AI capabilities into our products and workflows—connecting platforms like OpenAI, building intelligent automations, managing API keys, and ensuring reliable AI\-powered features in production. * **Automation \& Workflow Engineering:** Design and manage automation pipelines using tools like n8n, connecting databases, APIs, payment systems, and third\-party services into seamless workflows. * **API Development \& Integration:** Build and consume RESTful APIs, integrate third\-party services (payment gateways, print APIs, distribution platforms), and ensure robust data flow across systems. * **Database \& Infrastructure:** Manage databases, optimize queries, handle deployments, and ensure our systems are performant, secure, and scalable. * **Technical Leadership:** Evaluate architecture decisions, recommend tools and frameworks, mentor junior developers, and establish best practices for code quality and documentation. * **Cross\-Functional Collaboration:** Work closely with the founding team to translate business requirements into technical solutions. Communicate technical trade\-offs clearly to non\-technical stakeholders. **WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR** * **Strong full\-stack development experience** with proficiency in both frontend (React, Next.js, or similar) and backend (Node.js, Python, or similar) technologies. * **Hands\-on experience with AI/ML integration:** working with LLM APIs (OpenAI, Anthropic, etc.), building AI\-powered features, prompt engineering, and understanding how to reliably deploy AI in production applications. * **Experience with automation platforms** such as n8n, Make, or Zapier—including building complex multi\-step workflows, handling error scenarios, and connecting to external APIs. * **Solid understanding of databases** (SQL and/or NoSQL), API design (REST, webhooks), authentication systems, and cloud infrastructure. * **Demonstrated ability to own projects end to end:** from scoping and architecture through deployment and monitoring. * **Familiarity with Bubble (or willingness to learn it quickly):** Our entire operations currently run on Bubble, and while we’re planning a long\-term migration to a fully code\-based platform, you’ll need to maintain, improve, and build on the existing Bubble dashboard in the interim.
