Developer / Engineer – SQL \& UNIX **Location:** candidates willing to relocate Malaysia are preferred **Experience:** 3\+ Years **Role:** Developer / Engineer Job Summary We are looking for an experienced **Developer / Engineer** with 3\+ years of software/application development experience. The ideal candidate should have strong hands\-on experience in **SQL and UNIX Shell Scripting**, with additional exposure to **AML/KYC and Java** being an advantage. Key Responsibilities * Develop, enhance, maintain, and support software/application systems. * Write and optimize **SQL queries** for application development, data processing, validation, and troubleshooting. * Develop and maintain **UNIX/Linux shell scripts** for application operations, automation, and batch processing. * Analyze technical requirements and translate them into effective application solutions. * Perform application troubleshooting, debugging, and root\-cause analysis. * Support application deployments, testing, maintenance, and production activities. * Work closely with Business Analysts, QA, Application Support, and other technical teams. * Prepare and maintain technical documentation. * Participate in application enhancements and continuous improvement initiatives. Required Skills \& Qualifications * **3\+ years of software/application development experience.** * Strong hands\-on experience with **SQL**. * Strong experience with **UNIX/Linux Shell Scripting**. * Good understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC). * Experience in application troubleshooting and production support. * Strong analytical and problem\-solving skills. * Good communication and teamwork skills. Good to Have * Knowledge or experience in **AML (Anti\-Money Laundering)** / **KYC (Know Your Customer)** applications or processes. * Hands\-on experience with **Java / Java\-based applications**. * Banking / Financial Services domain experience. * Experience with batch processing, scheduling, or enterprise application support. * Exposure to Agile development methodologies. Preferred Candidate Profile Candidates from **Application Development, Production Support, Application Support, Backend Development, or Software Engineering** backgrounds with strong **SQL \+ UNIX Shell Scripting** experience are encouraged to apply.
