Growing together.** **Primary Responsibilities:** * Work with the engineering teams to help solve business problems * Use software engineering best practices to ensure a high standard of quality for all of the team's deliverables * Write high quality distributed system software * Decompose complex problems into simple, straight\-forward solutions * Perform code review and mentor junior engineers * Should be flexible, adapting to meet the needs of the team, project, or product * Mentoring and developing other engineers on the team * Participate in the entire software development lifecycle \- design, implementation, testing, CI/CD and production operations * Comply with all applicable Company policies, procedures, and business directives, changes including those relating to work location, team assignments, work schedules, and flexible work arrangements **Required Qualifications:** * Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field * 10\+ years of industry experience as a Software Engineer or a Software Developer * 2\+ years of experience working in any cloud environment \- Azure, AWS, GCP * Good knowledge on technology stack like Java (Spring Boot), REST APIs, Python, * Knowledge of professional software engineering and best practices for the full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build process, testing, and operations * Knowledge or working experience in AI/ML * Solid computer science and development fundamentals, including object\-oriented design, data structures, algorithm design, and complexity analysis *At UnitedHealth Group, our mission is to help people live healthier lives and make the health system work better for everyone.
